Here is the latest entry in BroadwayWorld's new weekly feature - STAGE ART. This new offering will highlight the very best of Broadway theatre and beyond with new beautifully designed artwork.

Showcasing the digital paintings of our new resident artist, STAGE ART appears on BroadwayWorld as our love letter to the great talent, costume design and scenery that lights up the stages of the world. The series launched with LYSISTRATA JONES, THE WIZARD OF OZ, the Broadway revival of FOLLIES, THE GERSHWIN'S PORGY AND BESS, CARRIE, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, ONCE, NEWSIES, EVITA, INTO THE WOODS, CHAPLIN, and more.

This week - it's all about Scandalous! Featuring book and lyrics by Kathie Lee Gifford and music by David Pomeranz and David Friedman, Scandalous began performances at Broadway's Neil Simon Theatre on October 13, 2012 and opened last night, Thursday, November 15.

Directed by David Armstrong, Scandalous is based on the life of Aimee Semple McPherson (1890-1944), the world's first media superstar evangelist -- a woman whose passion for saving souls equaled her passion for making sensational headlines and attracting overflow crowds of thousands throughout the world. Time Magazine named Aimee Semple McPherson one the most influential people of the twentieth century.

SCANDALOUS stars two-time Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello (Sister Act, Mamma Mia, Parade) as Aimee Semple McPherson, two-time Tony Award winner George Hearn (Sunset Blvd., La Cage aux Folles, Sweeney Todd) as James Kennedy and Brother Bob, Candy Buckley as Minnie Kennedy, Edward Watts (Finian's Rainbow) as Robert Semple and David Hutton, Roz Ryan (Chicago, Dreamgirls) as Emma Jo Schaeffer and Andrew Samonsky as Harold McPherson and Kenneth Ormiston.
