Broadway's rockstar and Two-time Tony Award Nominee, Constantine Maroulis, is back with "All About You." The new single dropped on iTunes and Spotify this morning, and is a collaboration with hitmaker Sam Hollander (Fitz and the Tantrums, Train, Daughtry, Weezer). The catchy, new track from Maroulis is a heartfelt ballad about being completely caught up on and still in love with someone who got away.

The song features heartfelt vocals from Maroulis. In the chorus, his voice is layered on top of itself, which gives his rocker wails (a.k.a skrelts) a haunting depth that makes the anguish of the lyrics tangible. With his background in musical theater it is no surprise that Maroulis emotes with precision throughout the song. Likewise, his ability to sing with the evocative rawness associated with the rock genre makes this recording all the more compelling.

The mix of electronic instrumentation (electronic bass, electric organ, and synth beats) with the occasional strumming of an acoustic guitar for the track's arrangement allows the song to straddle the line that separates pop and light rock effortlessly. Despite the use of electronic instrumentation and the bells and whistles of recording in the studio, there is a palpable sincerity and warmth in the accompaniment that allows the single to have broad appeal.

In addition to this release, Maroulis will be performing at the Longwharf Theatre this spring in THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ROOM IN NEW YORK, which is set to run through May. Maroulis will then be reviving his role as Judas in a production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at The Muny in St. Louis this June.
