Wednesday I got to midtown for my matinee a little early and decided to go visit my mom at work. I walked up to window 9 at TKTS and waved "hi". Yup, TKTS is my Mom's office! I swear it's totally unrelated to the fact that I do what I do. She's a main reason why we are selling so well. Just kidding, TKTS employees aren't allowed to promote or recommend specific shows, but their kids can! Every time I visit my Mom at work I inevitably turn into a crazy person, butting into people's conversations and shouting at tourists about how they should DEFIINITELY go see "Nice Work". However, I am learning to control myself, and I am proud to report I didn't harass any theatergoers this recent visit.

It's so nice to have my Mom work in midtown. My theater and the booth are literally a block and a half away from each other. I try to pop by and see her fairly often, even if it's just to wave "hi" or get a quick hug. So go buy your "Nice Work" (or any other show) tickets from Shirley!

For dinner in between shows, Shina Ann Morris, Kristen Beth Williamsand I went to Two Boots Pizza, on 44th and 9th, for the unveiling of their "Nice Work" themed pizza! Which is aptly named "Nice Pie If You Can Get It". It has chicken, tasso, scallions, and hot sauce on a grandma crust with a swirl of green jalapeno pesto. My three descriptive words for it would be: spicy, flavorful, and delicious. Also the crust was unbelievable.

After dinner, Shina and I decided to make a necessary stop at Schmackary's for dessert. As per usual it was very tasty. Shina and I also made sure to suggest to them the idea of a "Nice Work" cookie; a rum flavored situation in honor of our bootlegging themed show, perhaps?

Thursday I stopped by a reception at Grey Advertising. I helped out Stephen DeAngelis, who works in casting at Grey, with getting a blown up picture of our playbill signed for them to auction off at the BC/EFA Broadway Flea Market (which is this Sunday in Shubert Alley). It was a really nice reception. I met some performers from other shows and various people that work at Grey. Everyone was very friendly and the cupcakes they had out weren't too bad either!
