Over the summer is a great time to visit local theatres and watch some enjoyable musicals and plays. However, this summer there are also many opportunities to participate in fun filled, summer theatre camps. Listed below are some of the theatres that I have performed and/or attended camp and the shows that they are performing over the summer, along with some possible theatre camps.

Camps/ Workshops:
Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre is offering multiple children's workshops over the summer. The following are available age groups:
Preschool Sessions - $125 - ages 5-7 - June 27 to July 2 and August 1 to August 6, 2016
Intermediate/Advanced Sessions - $160 - ages 11 and older - July 25 to July 30 and August 15 to August 20, 2016
Advanced Performance - $200 - ages 10 to 17 - June 27 to June 29, 2016

The Fulton Theatre offers summer camps for age groups 3-5, grades 1-3, grades 3-5, grades 2-5, grades 8-12, and grades 6-12, with cost varying from $45 to $425. More information regarding summer camps and productions can be found on The Fulton Theatre's website www.thefulton.org
Susquehanna Stage Company is also holding a summer theatre camp for ages 6 through 14. Summer camp dates are from August 8 to August 12, 2016. Cost for this camp is $125. At the end of the camp will be a performance using all the concepts students have learned at camp this year. Finally, Ephrata Performing Arts Center is offering a Center Stage Theatre Camp as well. Students entering grades 1 through 7 are invited to participate in an educational summer camp from July 11 to August 5. The cost for this camp varies from $160 to $535 (depending on how many weeks the child attends). EPAC plans on having a central theme of their camp. This year their theme is "The Art of Expressions throughout the Decades". EPAC is also offering a one day masterclass workshop on August 13 from 9AM to 3PM for students grades 8 through 12. The cost for this workshop is $150. So, after hearing about these upcoming events in the theatre world, do you think that quite possibly you would be up for one (or more) of them? I can certainly say that for each theatre, the experiences that you will find there are extremely enjoyable and I recommend each production and camp found in these theatres one hundred percent.
