BWW Blog: Amy Parrish - Inspiration Photography

Conceptual photographer, Brooke Shaden, has a book in the works titled Inspiration in Photography. It will be released later this year through Ilex press in the UK and Focal Press in the United States, but I've gotten an inside peek at some of the images that has me anxiously waiting for its release.
I should first mention that having mentored with Brooke at the After Dark photographic conferences and traveling with her to India earlier this year, I've become more familiar with her work and life as a photographer. Needless to say, she has an excellent eye and has curated images in this book from a collection of equally-inspiring photographers, each with their own voice and inspirational expression.
When I asked Brooke for a brief rundown on the book, here's what she had to say:
"Inspiration in Photography is a book that I first wrote two years ago. My passion in life is inspiring others, so it made sense that I would write a book combining my love for photography with my love of inspiration. I have always been naturally inspired by a variety of different things, so I started teaching myself how to quantify and harness that inspiration.
Fast foward to two years later, and the beautiful publishers at Ilex press asked me to write a book. I regretfully didn't feel right about writing the book they suggested, so I sent them the draft of my inspiration book. Thankfully, they were into it, and so we began the process of publishing.
I have several contributing artists to the book to show different perspectives: Amy Parrish, Maryanne Gobble, Elena Kalis, Cari Ann Wayman, Chris Bennett, Ashley Lebedev, Mariel Clayton, and Joel Robison. I even have 5 former workshop participants contributing images."
