On December 20, Original Cast Records will release the original cast CD recording of BUSH IS BAD: The Musical Cure for the Blue-State Blues, the hilarious, cathartic and unabashedly partisan new revue by Joshua Rosenblum, currently playing to sold-out crowds at The Triad Theatre (158 West 72nd Street, between Broadway and Columbus).

The show was recorded live over several performances in October, and the CD features Kate Baldwin, Neal Mayer and Michael McCoy, with composer/lyricist Rosenblum at the piano. After its release on December 20, the CD will be available in selected Tower Records stores, including both Manhattan outlets, and through www.originalcastrecords.com, www.towerrecords.com, and www.footlight.com. CD orders can also be placed through the Comments section of www.bushisbadthemusical.com.

At the Monday, November 28 performance, ten advance, pre-production copies of the CD will be raffled off to ticket-holders.

Beginning, Monday, November 28 the show will also feature new songs about the Libby and DeLay indictments, the proposed White House ethics classes, and the administration's contradictory stance on torture. These numbers join a songlist which also includes "How Can 59 Million People Be So Dumb?," "Good Conservative Values," "The Gay Agenda," and "New Hope for the Fabulously Wealthy."

BUSH IS BAD, which extended its initial limited Off Broadway engagement, now runs through December 29 at The Triad Theatre (158 West 72nd Street, between Broadway and Columbus), with performances on Monday and Thursday nights at 9 PM. Jill Abramovitz, who replaced Baldwin on November 3, stars with original cast members Mayer and McCoy.

BUSH IS BAD is among one of the best-reviewed new musicals of the season. It has been described as "savvy, uproarious, [and] delicious," with "lyrics that draw blood and melodies that stick in the brain," eliciting "raucous, borderline org*smic reactions." The New York Times declared that "Bush-hating has become fun again!"

BUSH IS BAD, a cross between Forbidden Broadway and The Daily Show, offers catchy tunes, wickedly funny lyrics and scathing impersonations of the president and his dissembling gang of conspirators. It is directed and choreographed by Gary Slavin with musical direction by Rosenblum. Costumes are by Anne Auberjonois, with lighting and sound by Tonya Pierre. The hit show opened September 29.

Tickets and showtimes are available at www.theatermania.com or 212-352-3101. Tickets are $20 with a $12 drink minimum. Visit www.bushisbadthemusical.com or call 212-222-7436 for more information.
