BUNHEADS creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has opened up about her desire for a renewal of the Cult hit ABC Family series BUNHEADS, starring multi-Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, following the first season finale of the series which aired last week.

As of this time, ABC Family has yet to decide on the future for the show, though it was picked up for additional episodes following the original Season One order. Unfortunately, ratings have been slightly down for the ballet-themed teen-aimed series following its winter season debut - hovering around 1 million viewers (for comparison, viewers of the top show on the network, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, frequently number upwards of 3 million for new episodes).

Sherman-Palladino says, "This could be the last job, the last moment... This could be it."

Describing Michelle (Sutton Foster)'s plight in the season finale, she recalls: "It comes from life. You wake up and you get rejected. You walk outside, and you get rejected. You smile at the nice young man and he looks at you like you are 110 and a troll."

Should the series continue, the creator says Foster's character will have a slightly different view of the world: "She's going to find a different way to measure success."

Whatever way it all turns out, this is definitely the turning point for BUNHEADS!
