CLUTCH PRODUCTIONS, in association with JOSIAH GRIMM, is pleased to announce the world premiere production of Maggie Moore and Julia Sears' BULLET CATCHERS, with music directed by Yeujia Low, directed by Julia Sears. BULLET CATCHERS will play a limited engagement at Off-Broadway's Judson Memorial Church (55 Washington Square Park South).

Performances begin Thursday, July 20 (7:30 p.m.) and continue through Saturday, August 5. Opening Night is Saturday, July 22 (7 p.m.). Tickets are $20 at www.bulletcatcherstheplay.com/tickets. A 'bullet catcher' is Army slang for an infantryman. They live and die on the frontlines and carry this nickname like a badge of honor. It's a sacrifice that few are willing to make. The honorable men who volunteer for this service don't take it lightly. Neither do the women.

Set in the not too distant future, BULLET CATCHERS follows the first official mixed gender infantry unit in the U.S. Army, from training to deployment. In the throes of war, they must face what it means to be a soldier, a unit, and a part of history. Told in part through dance, music, and poetry, BULLET CATCHERS is a new, collaboratively written play based on interviews with current service members and veterans, as well as members of our own ensemble.

All the stars of the production have been involved with the creation of the piece and are credited as co-writers, additionally those marked with an M are military veterans. The production stars Adrienne BrammerM (Blueprint Specials at Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum; Our Trojan War at BAM) as Sergeant Kalli Kovas/Co-writer/Veteran Liaison, Rebecca Hirota* (Vietgone at Manhattan Theatre Club; Romeo & Juliet at Classic Stage Company) as Sergeant Athena Pajau Yan Kostopolis /Co-writer, Sandra W. LeeM (The Home Show at Lincoln Center; Interabang at Ars Nova) as ATÉ/ Co-writer, Jay Myers* (Comedy of Errors, Twelfth Night at Seattle Shakespeare Company; Waiting for Godot at Arts on the Waterfront) as Specialist Richard Lampido /Co-writer, Victoria Nassif* (Measure for Measure at New York Classical Theatre; Artaud Artaud at New Works at Signature; Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey) as Lieutenant Anouk Eshara /Co-Writer, Jessica Vera* (The Gruesomely Merry Adventures of Nell Dash at Hudson Guild; Artaud Artaud at New Works at Signature) as Lieutenant Colonel Maya De Los Santos/Co-writer, Emma Walton (Wives Tale at Exquisite Corpse Company; Bathroom Etiquette at Manhattan Theater Club) as Private First Class Joan Boudica/Co-writer, and Damion WilliamsM (Blueprint Specials at The Public Theater) as Private First Class Reo/Co-writer.
