Buh Wha' Trouble is Dis?, directed by Tony nominated dancer and actress Karine Plantadit, is the story of a first generation American girl's quest to excel against all odds in the face of racism, body image-ism, and show biz-ism. The play is written and performed by Stacey Sargeant*.
Bug Bite, directed by Christine Renee Miller, is the story of one woman's adventure turned upside down when she discovers a bug bite on her breast is actually stage 4 cancer. Armed with uncertainty, she finds that healing is an endlessly surprising struggle to save her family, to grow personally and to accept that everything is exactly as it should be. The play is written and performed by Lizabeth Sipes.
Stacey Sargeant and Lizabeth Sipes are both alumni of Syracuse University's Department of Drama and coincidentally both pieces were developed in Matt Hoverman's Go-Solo Workshop.
