NewFilmmakers will present three short film programs about the lives of young people and the premiere of the feature BRUTAL directed by former Jerky Boy Kamel Ahmen and starring Kevin Corrigan, Peter Greene and Federico Castelluccio.

Edgy New York filmmaker and Grammy nominee Kamal Ahmed, formerly of Jerky Boys fame, will premiere his much-anticipated new gangster flick aptly titled BRUTAL. Kamal has a unique personality and possesses depth and courage when it comes to scripting, producing and directing his celluloid dreams. In his new film four friends pay the ultimate price when they seek revenge against a low-level Kevin Corrigan (Goodfellas, The Departed) stars as a drug dealer in contemporary Queens. BRUTAL also stars Peter Greene (The Usual Suspects) and Federico Castelluccio (Furio Giunta in The Sopranos)
