Out of 65 productions in the NY THEISPIS Theater Festival, Brush Strokes, a new musical, has been selected for one of the six Encore Production. This special showing will be next Monday, September 28th at 8:30 pm at the Hudson Guild Theater, 411 West 26th street (between 9th & 10thAvenues), NYC. The cast for the new musical is Joy Franz, Chuck Muckle and Hannah Seusy. The musical is written by Stephen Chinlund & Jim Semmelman; with music by Bert Draesel; and lyrics by Jim Semmelman. It is directed by Kathleen O'Neill, with set design by April Bartlet, lighting designer by Dan Henry, and the musical director is Kenneth Gartman. The hit musical closed this weekend with a Sold Out show and people turned away.
Brush Strokes reveals the journeys of Virginia and Eric who find new love late in their lives. They are brought together by their passion for art. Yet they are challenged by controversial life choices. Compromise may be the key to there romance, but will be enough and at what cost?
Joy Franz (Virginia) has a very distinguished Broadway career that includes: Into the Woods (original, revival, PBS), A Little Night Music, Company (and also in London), Pippin, Open Admissions. Lysistrata, Bitter Tears Petra Von Kont, and Sweet Charity. Joy's favorite Off-Broadway shows include:Assassins (original) Mrs. Warrens Profession, All My Sons, and the National Tour of Damn Yankees with Jerry Lewis in London. Some of the favorite regional productions include: Lost in Yonkers, Driving Miss Daisy, Other Desert Cities, The Glass Menagerie, Othello. TV credits include: "Royal Pains", "Allegiance", "The Carrie Diaries", "Law and Order", "Central Park West", "Conan", as well as various Daytime Dramas and the Web series: "Horrible People".
Chuck Muckle (Eric) is in the upcoming feature film "X-Mas" with Seth Rogen, Anthony Mackie and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He did the World Tour of Four Play the musical (male answer to Meopause).

Hannah Seusy (Mitzi) some of her favorite NYC Theatre Credits: Les Miserables, Last Night at the Carmine, J Train (Planet Connections, nominated Outstanding Actress in a One-Act), My Day on Facebook, In the Bones (MTWorks), All's Fair, Variations on a Cat Call, the Web-series: Jake Does Stuff, among many others. Her film work includes "Van Money", "Rundown". Hannah has narrated numerous audiobooks and can be heard on Sprint's "Direct 2 You" Campaign. She is the Artistic Director of BOO-Arts Productions and a Founder and Co-Creator at Flash Filmmaking.
