Broadway in Concert! at The Canyon, an all new Wednesday night series of intimate concerts headlined by the best of Broadway musical theatre stars and Nightclub artists will debut January 7, 2009 at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA, it was announced today by Canyon Club Managing Partner Lance Sterling and Producer Michael Sterling of Michael Sterling & Associates in Los Angeles.
One of the most successful nightclubs in the country, The Canyon Club is known for presenting a mix of top pop, rock, country and comedy acts in concert. Its foray into presenting the music of Broadway and the Great American Songbook will be no different. The intriguingly eclectic club seats just over 500 guests at tables and features exquisite dining coupled with performances by a vast array of headliners including Michael McDonald, Pat Benatar, Neil Young, Willy Nelson, The Smothers Brothers and Don Rickles - to name but a few.

Ilene Graff opens the Series on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 7, 2009. A Grammy nominated recording artist best known to television audiences as was one of America's most beloved TV moms "Marsha Owens" on the long running ABC TV hit comedy series Mr. Belvedere, Ilene Graff made her professional debut on Broadway years earlier in Promises Promises. The Neil Simon, Burt Bacharach/Hal David hit, in which she began as understudy for the leading lady while singing backup vocals from the orchestra pit, ultimately led to performing the co-starring role of "Fran Kubelik" on Broadway numerous times before starring in the show's National Tour. Though Ms. Graff went on to play "Sandy" for two years in the Broadway production of Grease, her biggest Broadway triumph was creating the role of "Cleo" in the Cy Coleman/Michael Stewart musical comedy hit I Love My Wife, directed by Tony Award winner Gene Saks. Other theatre credits include: Charley's Aunt with Charles Grodin, Cabaret as "Sally Bowles," Annie Get Your Gun as "Annie Oakley," and Over Here directed by Mr. Belvedere himself, Christopher Hewett. She has also starred as "Mama Rose" in a Los Angeles revival of Gypsy. In addition to playing the role of former baseball star and commentator Bob Uecker's wife on Mr. Belvedere for five years, Ms. Graff starred in two other series, several pilots, and guest starred on many episodic TV shows, movies of the week and mini-series'. More recently, she had the distinct pleasure of co-starring in the ABC/Disney Movie-of-the-Week, South Pacific with Academy Award nominee and Tony Award winner Glenn Close and Grammy Award winner Harry Connick, Jr. Ms. Graff and her husband Ben Lanzarone met while working in the Broadway production of Grease for which Mr. Lanzarone was Musical Director. He continues to serve as her Musical Director, as well as arranger, co-producer and accompanist. Eric Millegan, who has starred for three season as the genius forensic anthropologist Dr. Zack Addy in the FOX TV hit detective drama series Bones, brings his successful concert act to The Canyon WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14. Though a relative newcomer to television, Eric has already worked on some of television's most important shows. He has appeared on the NBC hit Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Sidney Lumet's A&E courtroom drama 100 Centre Street. Before his success on television, Eric had a bountiful ten year career in the theater. Employing what Variety called "winning stage presence and a sweet, melodious tenor," he starred as "Harold" opposite Oscar winner Estelle Parsons in the world premiere of Harold & Maude: The Musical at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey. His New York theater credits include the Broadway revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, the Encores presentation of Hair at City Center (in which he sang the "Aquarius" solo), and the New York premiere of Dead Man Walking at Lincoln Center. He also co-starred in the Off-Broadway hit Altar Boyz. His regional theater credits include roles at the Guthrie Theater, Cincinnati Playhouse In the Park, and The Repertory Theater of St. Louis. More recently, Eric starred as "Frederic" in Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance at the Silva Concert Hall at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts in Eugene, Oregon; and in concert at both the prestigious Signature Theatre in Washington, D.C. and Don't Tell Mama's in New York's Broadway theatre district. www.erickmillegan.com.
Geoffrey Going - WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 28 - Recently appeared he with Broadway legend Barbara Cook at the all new $42 million state-of-the-art Broad Theatre in Santa Monica, CA. Geoffrey then starred in the Los Angeles revue American Reflections/Broadway In Concert, followed by the show's tour of China this past October. Starring roles in musical theatre include "Jekyll and Hyde" in Broadway's smash hit Jekyll and Hyde presented in Los Angeles earlier this summer. He portrayed the lead in the West Coast Premiere of the musical Camila, which was a participant in composer Stephen Schwartz's 2008 Festival For New American Musicals, the 33rd Anniversary production of Hair, Esteban (Off- Broadway at Harold Prince's Directors Company and in London at Riverside Studios), West Side Story, Suburbia, The Lion In Winter, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Who's Tommy, 42nd Street, and numerous other stage productions. Geoffrey has also performed throughout the United States, Europe and Canada. He graduated with a B.A. with honors in acting from UC Irvine, where he received a grant to study and perform in New York and the United Kingdom with the "American Laboratory For Actor Training". He studied musical theatre at The Boston Conservatory of Music. His work in television encompasses Desperate Housewives, The Sopranos, The Practice, Angel, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and Party Of Five. Born into a long line of theatre performers, Geoffrey is the nephew of the late, great Broadway and highly revered motion picture producer/author and songwriter Buddy DeSylva who (in 1925) became part of DeSylva, Brown and Henderson, one of the most successful trio of tunesmith on Broadway. DeSylva later went on to build Capital Records in Hollywood and become Executive Producer of Paramount Pictures. DeSylva's life was depicted in the 1956 film The Best Things in Life are Free starring Gordon MacRae.
