Cynthia Silver, the unwitting star of the inaugural season of FOX TV and WE Network's hit series "Bridezillas", returns to the stage with her award-winning Reality TV expose BRIDEZILLA STRIKES BACK! Co-written by Kenny Finkle, this cautionary tale was awarded Outstanding Solo Show at the 2005 New York International Fringe Festival. This newly updated version, directed by Paul Urcioli, begins previews April 21 with opening slated for April 28.

BRIDEZILLA STRIKES BACK! chronicles stage actress Cynthia Silver’s naïve foray into the unreal world of Reality TV, as well as her struggles in navigating the mercenary New York bridal industry.  In 2002, Silver allowed a British camera crew to film the preparations for her lavish wedding for what she was told would be a documentary series called "Manhattan Brides." Silver was shocked to discover that the footage had been sold to FOX and WE and turned into a reality TV show tellingly called "Bridezillas." Suddenly an unwitting traveler in a demoralizing landscape, Silver found herself mocked on TV and pilloried in the press and chat rooms, her wedding ridiculed in re-runs and countless promos. And now it is her turn to strike back and set the record straight!

Praised as "infectiously funny" by The New York Times for her appearance in The Adding Machine, Cynthia Silver is a faculty member at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School where she met her husband, Matt Silver, a production stage manager. Her stage credits include Packawallop Productions' Paper Cranes, Chad Beckim's Cookie, Diana Amsterdam’s Carnival Round the Central Figure, Richard Nelson’s Jitterbugging, Eric Bogosian’s Scenes From the New World, Warren Leight’s The Loop and two productions with Partial Comfort, Kidstuff and Open House, where she is an ensemble member.

BRIDEZILLA STRIKES BACK! runs April 21 - May 19, Saturdays at 7:30pm. The Laurie Beechman Theater is located inside West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street -- at Ninth Avenue, accessible from the A,C,E,N,R,V,F,1,2 & 3 trains at 42nd Street).
