5th Wall Studio today announced the complete cast for its winter season offering of Breaking Surface by co-creators and directors Gwyneth Larsen and William Mulholland. The production runs on Fridays through Sundays only from January 11th - 27th, 2019 at a secret location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Meet up location will be revealed after ticket purchase via BreakingSurface.Eventbrite.com.

Breaking Surface will feature Fabio Angelo* (Saturday Night Fever, West Side Story at the Guthrie, Circus Orlando Orfei), Michele Jongeneel (Fuerza Bruta, Fuerza Bruta Wayra), Angelica Kushi (Fuerza Bruta, Fuerza Bruta Wayra), Brad Landers (CATS National Tour, Jesus Christ Superstar), Rebecca Magazine (Bizet's Les Pêcheurs de Perles at the Metropolitan Opera, NBC's I Can Do That), Marissa Maislen (Sleep No More), Benjamin E. Oyzon (ABCirque, AiRealistic, Grounded Aerial), and Adam Ali-Perez (West Side Story at the Guthrie).

Breaking Surface tells the story of the search for inspiration, through a man's curious relationship to an unseen Muse. He follows her into the pages of his notebook and on a watery adventure, coming face to face with his own limitations. Told through dance, acrobatics and airy imagery the audience is led into a world where gravity is overthrown and sketches jump from the page.

With the theme of paper and water our hero sinks deeper and deeper into an unexpected yet familiar world. He dances with a weighted chair and the pages of his book flicker and drift away, to be reborn as a fleet of miniature paper boats. This flotilla consolidates into a single vessel that sales on to adventure bringing him back to where he began, but changed. Throughout, the exploration of movement is deeply linked with the idea that man's imagination cannot be physically explained on the ground. It peeks into a playful world of childhood fantasy, where human bodies defy gravitational laws. Water sounds accent the instrumental music by Trevor Exter, John Morgan Kimock and John E Oyzon. Originally presented by AiRealistic at the Theater for the New City in March 2013 in New York City, this production is produced by 5th Wall Studio.
