In a New York Times feature out today, BOOK OF MORMON's Ropert Lopez, Trey Parker and Matt Stone take the public inside the rehearsal room of the production and admit that when it comes to MORMON, they are all a little bit "reckless." Says Parker: "We're just not scared...and not like in an ‘Awesome, we're fearless' way. We're just reckless."
Says Lopez of his approach: "[I'm fascinated by] the idea of the Bible as literature - a story that can change the world, but in the end it's just a story."
As for the religion this trio subscribes to: "In a way...‘Star Wars' was our religion, and Spider-Man's a religion. That affected our lives way more than Jesus, but they were still stories," says Parker.
