BOMBSHELL is back, for one night only!
NBC's musical dramedy series SMASH ended after two seasons earlier this decade, but the Broadway-centric series featured in a new reunion concert highlighting material from the musical-within-the-series BOMBSHELL, inspired by the life of Marilyn Monroe, on June 8 at a star-studded concert announced several weeks ago when the Kickstarter campaign racked up a grand total of $318,120.
Tonight, the Megan Hilty Online Facebook page has shared preliminary sneak peeks of Hilty onstage via a new video clips of "National Pastime", available here, "Let's Be Bad", available here, "Second Hand White Baby Grand", available here, "They Just Keep Moving The Line", available here, "Don't Forget Me", and the curtain call, available here, as well as photos of Hilty alongside Katharine McPhee, both looking glamorous in attention-grabbing gowns worthy of Marilyn Monroe.

BOMBSHELL producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron shared a sneak peek of the final run-through today via new backstage photos as well as each commenting on the momentous night.
Zadan also wrote, "Live from Minskoff Th on Bway sound check & lighting for Bombshell concert. Run thru w cast, dancers, orchestra! Now!" and followed up with, "Rehearsing it all. Bombshell and the cast of Smash are finally on Broadway."
Plus, Meron shared, "#thanks to @TheLionKing for your theater for #Bombshell concert. #MarilynMonroe will keep it clean for #Simba #Smash" as well as "#Tonights the night. #Smash fans see #Bombshell on #Broadway @DebraMessing @katharinemcphee @meganhilty @WillChaseMe" and "Is it #TeamIvy or #TeamKaren tonight at #Bombshell concert ? #Smash @katharinemcphee @meganhilty @nbc @craigzadan".
Also, Zadan provided an update this weekend on the run-through of the performance, as well, commenting, "Had rough runthru #Bombshell. Went really well. Seeing/hearing entire show in sequence, one can't imagine how great the talent & score is," and followed up shortly thereafter with, "#Bombshell music sounds spectacular. @marcshaiman @DougBesterman created orchestrations that are thrilling. & @JoshBergasse's choreography!"
Subsequently, composer Marc Shaiman replied, writing, "<humbly bows> @craigzadan @DougBesterman @JoshBergasse" and orchestrator Doug Besterman shared, "Thank you Craig - it's going to be a spectacular concert! @craigzadan @marcshaiman @DougBesterman @JoshBergasse".

The one-night only landmark event benefitting The Actors Fund takes place on Monday evening, June 8, 2015 at The Minskoff Theatre (1515 Broadway). Bombshell was the Marilyn Monroe musical created in NBC's Golden Globe-nominated television hit series "Smash," created by Theresa Rebeck.
