BMI 'Pick of the Month' Showcase to Feature Monogold, 7/12

WHO: Monogold & Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), the American performing right organization that represents more than 475,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers in all genres of music and more than 6.5 million works.

WHAT: BMI "Pick of the Month," a showcase series focusing on a band or artist. The monthly series is designed to help expose the performer to the music industry and public through a top-quality venue and discounted admission. Past "Pick" performers include Lady Gaga, Macy Gray and Counting Crows. Admission is free for the July "Pick."

WHEN: Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Show begins at 7 p.m.

About the band:
Monogold is a three-piece indie rock outfit hailing from Brooklyn, NY. Their DIY approach to music has enabled them to self-record and produce their own sound in their personal studio. Their most recent release and first full-length album is 2011's The Softest Glow. Their 2009 EP, We Animals, continues to receive rave reviews from blogs and magazines throughout the U.S. and abroad. Their unique sound has garnered raves from such star spotters as The Deli Magazine, I Guess I'm Floating, and The Wall Street Journal.
