BILLY ELLIOT's Alex Ko Joins Chanel's Born Extreme Campaign

Chanel recently released the first short film for one of its men's fragrances - Bleu de Chanel. French actor Gaspard Ulliel became the face of the new fragrance and the film, directed by Academy Award-winner Martin Scorsese. Alex Ko, 15 years old, who currently plays the title role of Billy in Billy Elliot the Musical on Broadway, recently joined Chanel for their Born Extreme Campaign for Bleu de Chanel. Billy Elliot was the winner of ten 2009 Tony Awards including Best Musical features music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreography by Peter Darling and direction by Stephen Daldry. It currently stars Emily Skinner (Mrs. Wilkinson), Tony Award-winner Gregory Jbara (Dad), Tony nominee Carole Shelley (Grandma), Will Chase (Tony), Neil McCaffrey and Gabriel Rush (Michael) and Jacob Clemente, Joseph Harrington, Alex Ko and Peter Mazurowski as Billy. The production opened to critical acclaim at Broadway's Imperial Theatre (240 W 45th St) on November 13, 2008.
