Billy Elliot on Broadway will play a new performance schedule beginning May 31, 2010: Wednesday - Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, Sunday at 2pm and 7:30pm. In addition, there will be special holiday schedules for July 4th weekend and Labor Day weekend, with information available at www.telecharge.com.

Billy Elliot the Musical is the joyous celebration of one boy's journey to make his dreams come true. Set in a small town, the story follows Billy as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class, discovering a passion that takes him by surprise, and takes his whole family on an incredibly uplifting adventure.

2009 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Billy Elliot the Musical currently starring Kate Hennig (Mrs. Wilkinson), Tony Award-winner Gregory Jbara (Dad), Tony nominee Carole Shelley (Grandma), Will Chase (Tony), Trevor Braun and Jake Evan Schwencke (Michael) and Jacob Clemente, Michael Dameski, Alex Ko, Liam Redhead and Dayton Tavares as ‘Billy" opened to critical acclaim at Broadway's Imperial Theatre (240 W 45th St) on November 13, 2008. Featuring music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreographed by Peter Darling and directed by Stephen Daldry, Billy Elliot the Musical began previews Wednesday, October 1st. The show is presented by Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment, based on the Universal Pictures/Studio Canal film.

Billy Elliot the Musical, the show that Time Magazine called "The Best Musical of the Decade," was the winner of ten 2009 Tony Awards including: Best Musical; Best Book of a Musical (Lee Hall); Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical (David Alvarez, Trent Kowalik, Kiril Kulish); Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical (Gregory Jbara); Best Direction of a Musical (Stephen Daldry); Best Choreography (Peter Darling); Best Orchestrations (Martin Koch); Best Scenic Design of a Musical (Ian MacNeil); Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Rick Fisher); Best Sound Design of a Musical (Paul Arditti). The production was the recipient of a total of 35 awards including being named Best Musical by the New York Drama Critics Circle, Drama Desk, Drama League and Outer Critics Circle.

Billy Elliot the Musical is produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Jon Finn and Sally Greene. Angela Morrison and David Furnish are Executive Producers. The production features scenic design by Ian MacNeil, the associate director is Julian Webber, costume design by Nicky Gillibrand, lighting design by Rick Fisher and sound design by Paul Arditti. Musical supervision and orchestrations are by Martin Koch.

Previews began: October, 1, 2008, with Opening night on November 13, 2008.
