The Frigid New York Frigid Festival will present the New York premier of Big Girls Don't Cry, an original comedy created by and starring Toronto comedian Rachelle Elie. This new comedy runs from Feb 24th to March 4th at The Red Room.
Fringe veteran Rachelle Elie brings you her most autobiographical work to date. Combining years of training and experience as a professional clown and stand up comic, this piece weaves through Rachelle's closet of characters and delves deeply into her comedic soul. This show is one part Lady Gaga, two parts Sam Kinison, with a splash of Vagina Monologues, all poured into a figurative champagne glass.
A dynamic and original performer, Rachelle Elie has been developing her unique vision of contemporary society for over fifteen years. A graduate of Vancouver's Studio 58, this acclaimed comedian has been showcased on The Comedy Network and The Women's Television Network and has performed stand up comedy in the U.S and Australia. Rachelle has toured 4 original one-woman shows across Canada and recently won an Outstanding Comedy award at the Ottawa Fringe festival.
