Broadway Dance Center presents BDC Gives for the month of February- A special class with David Marquez.

All proceeds for this new series of classes are donated to BC/EFA.

Marquez's class will focus on Intermediate Theater and take place on February 27, 2009 from 10:30A.M. - Noon.

Regular class rates apply, and additional donations are welcome.

David Marquez: is presently Co-Directing and Choreographing a new Beatles music and dance concert extravaganza entitled Ticket To Ride to at the historic Shubert Theater in New Haven Connecticut. Recently he choreographed the 2006 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for CBS television at the world famous Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California. He is the director and choreographer of a brand new untitled musical premiering in July as part of the 2007 New York International Dance Festival.

Broadway choreography includes: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer directed by Scott Ellis (She Loves Me) and The Gershwin's Fascinating Rhythm (Arizona Award; Best Choreography in a Musical) directed by Mark Lamos (Our Country's Good). He was the dance consultant on the Broadway play Stanley directed by John Caird (Les Miserables). David has also choreographed productions for The Long Wharf Theatre, Hartford Stage, Sharon Stage, and The Chicago Goodman Theater as well as an original dance entitled "Galileo" for which he won the 1994 Gypsy of the Year Absolut® Theatre Award as "Best of Show." For television he choreographed the PBS Great Performances production of "My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies at Carnegie Hall," starring Julie Andrews and Jennifer Holiday, as well as several ABC daytime dramas including "One Life To Live" and "All My Children."

Direction: Andy Prescott: About Face, Dance With Me: An Evening of Original Musical Theater Choreography, West Side Story, and a staged reading of Eleanor Rigby Is Waiting, a new play by David Parr.

David has appeared on Broadway in Kiss of the Spider Woman (with Chita Rivera and Vanessa Williams) as well as the national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar (with Ted Neeley, Carl Anderson and Irene Cara.) And music videos for C&C Music Factory including the 1990's hit "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)." David can be seen in the feature film El Cantante with Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.
