Larry Russell created BEATLESTOCK in 2005 to provide a sing-a-long for audiences who want to get ‘more involved' in Beatle band performances. BEATLESTOCK does not wear wigs, or uses make-up and costumes in their performances; instead, they mainly focus on the ‘sound and feel' of THE BEATLES' recordings to achieve their ‘close-to-the-record' performances. BEATLESTOCK also encourages its' audiences to sing ‘full middle eight sections' of popular Beatle songs--now you can show your stuff and sing with us!

GROOVE BUFFET

Classic R&B and Soul Revue

File Under: R&B, Soul

General Admission - First come, first seated

Doors 6pm, Show 8pm

Tickets: $10 Adv + $12 Day

Paying homage to the R&B, Motown and Soul legends, and founded solely on passion for the music, Groove Buffet formed in early 2005. The band is quickly on the rise and has become one of the best tribute bands in the New York Tri-State area. Yet, it doesn't seem right to call a group like Groove Buffet a tribute band. Unlike some tribute bands, Groove Buffet is not performing a routine. They don't dress up in 1960's attire, prance the stage like James Brown, or play note-for-note solos. Groove Buffet is much more attitude than imitation, and captures the true spirit of what the music is all about.

In the early 1970s, McClinton and his Ft. Worth pal Glen Clark headed out to Los Angeles, where they cut two then obscure but now prized albums for Atlantic Records as Delbert & Glen. Returning to Texas, he landed a deal with ABC Records. With the release of his 1975 solo debut, Victim of Life's Circumstances, McClinton firmly stamped his Ft. Worth-bred blend of blues, country and blue-eyed soul onto the pop musical landscape. A succession of influential and critically acclaimed albums followed, along with coups like appearing on "Saturday Night Live" in its heyday - an acknowledgement of the pages torn from Delbert's play book by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi when they formed The Blues Brothers. He scored hits like "Giving It Up For Your Love" and "Sandy Beaches," won a Grammy with Bonnie Raitt for their "Good Man/Good Woman" duet, and over the years has enjoyed covers of his songs by Emmylou Harris, The Blues Brothers, Vince Gill, Wynonna, Lee Roy Parnell, Martina McBride, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, among others.

Doors 6pm, Show 8pm

$25 adv, $30 door

Founder of Rock group Dire Straits, David has subsequently faithfully pursued his own musical vision, writing and producing his own compositions on ten solo CDs to date. Knopfler has been fortunate enough to reach a wide audience without compromising his art and while he's enjoyed the respect and admiration of his musical peers, widespread critical acclaim, international awards and worldwide chart successes, has managed, in his own country, Britain, to keep a profile so low as to be nearly invisible. He lives quietly in the English countryside, notching up an impressive list of writing credits. A regular panelist at music conventions and lifelong member of organizations like Amnesty International and Adopt a Minefield, David has always made uncompromising life choices: "I don't regard what I do as remotely glamorous. I write, record and perform my music because I completely love doing it and despite any so called celebrity status that sometimes comes with the job."
