The show has been moved to the Highline Ballroom, and will take place on the same date at the same time. All tickets will be honored at the Highline Ballroom.

Mavado's first full-length album, Gangster for Life: the Symphony of David Brooks, was an ambitious opus which followed the whole up and down arc of this life story. The album has remained in the Top 25 Billboard Reggae charts since its debut in July 2007. Opening with his earlier singles that brought him fame, interludes like and "Cassava Piece Radio" weaved the songs into a coherent musical saga. His father's death was spoken to on the one-drop tune "Sadness," while "Pon The Gully Side" and "Last Night" documented the singer's rough upbringing even as they showcased the more angelic side of his gangster gospel. The album's hot single "Dying," a version built around a tribute to Tupac rhymes, was redone with the original lines and showed a new sophistication and a lyrical edge as sharp as any rapper's.And rappers soon caught on to his unique disposition. Mavado became the most sought after reggae artist to jump on hip hop records.

Arriving from Wales in Leeds at age 18 to study Jazz at Leeds College of Music, Eddie soon found he was more interested performing and finding his musical voice, than in the college work. He brought together the best players in town and set up his first band The Jazz Mailmen. By 1997 Eddie was fronting The Mastersounds. Eddie, with drummer Simon Allen, tried out various other players before finding Bob birch and Pete Shand to play Hammond and bass respectively. In 1999 The New Mastersounds formed, initially to be resident at The Cooker, the weekly club night Eddie was promoting in Leeds. This band has been taking care of Eddie's funk requirements ever since, but his jazz voice still had to find an outlet. Tonight he brings together his funk and jazz stylings with some of the scene's heavy-hitters for EDDIE ROBERTS ALL-STARS: End of the World Funk Party.

In the fall of 2007, a few students at Yeshiva University came to a startling realization: Jewish collegiate a cappella groups had been formed on almost every college campus with a substantial Jewish student community - every campus, that was, except for YU! This realization soon led to the formation of the Maccabeats, YU's all-male a cappella group. At first, the Maccabeats sang mostly in the privacy of their own practice room, developing a repertoire. Soon, though, their music began to spread and was performed all over campus at a plethora of university events and at numerous concerts. The Maccabeats have since performed all around the country, from New York's Madison Square Garden to Los Angeles and everywhere in between.

It's hard to believe it that it was nearly 50 years ago that Martha Reeves first hit the charts with the bluesy, soulful "Come and Get These Memories." It is especially hard to believe that much time has passed when Reeves hits the stage. With the unmistakable voice that helped define "the sound of young America," dancing and strutting with an incredible energy, Reeves is a live wire. Martha Reeves and her sisters in song (and in life) Lois and Delphine, continue to heat up clubs, concert stages and music festivals across the globe, thrilling audiences and always leaving them dancing. Their hits are legendary: the Grammy-nominated "Heat Wave," the gospel-tinged "Nowhere to Run," the classic soul favorite "My Baby Loves Me," and the signature, "Dancing In The Street."

Ada Dyer (given name Adaritha) made her recorded debut on eminent jazz drummer Norman Connors's album Invitation (1979) after her drummer discovered her talents singing the title track. In addition to "Invitation," she was also featured on "Handle Me Gently." Connors invited the vocalist back for his next album, 1980's Take It to the Limit, on which the two scored a Top 30 R&B hit with the title cut. After returning home from a tour with Connors, Dyer auditioned and was promptly hired as the understudy to the lead in a production of The Wiz. In 1981, she relocated from Chicago to New York City, where she continued her work in both jingles and recording. Notably, she became part of the lineup of electro-dance trio Warp 9, best remembered for their trend-setting club hits "Nunk," "Light Years Away," and "No Man is an Island."
