E! News reports that Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger tied the knot in the South of France yesterday. The pair exchanged their "I dos" at the 14th century Castle named the Château de la Napoule in the town of Mandelieu.

The two singers were surrounded by 50 of their closest friends and family for the destination wedding. Lavigne and Kroeger said they vows just outside of the castle, in a courtyard that had stunning views of the coastline.

Once the ceremony was over, guests were treated to a buffet of locally caught lobster, sea bass, and beef which was washed down with "endless glasses" of Laurent Perrier.

In keeping with their rock star style, the reception went all through the night. Fireworks over the sea set the party off at midnight, while a DJ spun tunes until 6 a.m.

And for those who managed to stay up for the duration of the special affair, a wedding brunch was hosted at the château early Tuesday morning.

"It was certainly a rock and roll wedding," a source tells E! News. "They've been partying for the past four days straight with a final wedding party brunch today before they go off on their honeymoon."

The source adds, "everyone's had the best time, Avril and Chad are thrilled it's all gone so well."

The couple's three-day wedding celebration kicked off Saturday night in Cannes with a rehearsal dinner.

And the two didn't just pick the location for it's gorgeous appeal either...

"[Avril] picked Cannes because she's spent significant time in Paris in the past few years and summered in places like St. Tropez," the source said. "She's very immersed in French food, ambiance and culture. It's her favorite place to be."

It appears that couple wanted to keep details about their wedding ceremony as secretive as possible. Guests of the nuptials were not told about the wedding location initially, and were driven to the venue privately.

Last month, the bride told E! News she and her hubby-to-be wanted their wedding to be very intimate.

"We want it to be unique and special and we it to be a very big event but at the same time it's small and it's just close friends and close family," Lavigne said

Looks like it was mission accomplished. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
