Can this mass shooting survivor and this card carrying NRA member find common ground?About the Festival - Taking center stage from August 29th - October 5th, the New York New Works Theatre Festival exposes talented writers to audiences and a panel of Broadway Producers, Emmy and Tony Award Winners.Initially created as a "give-back" project, the 2016 festival presents 53 shows submitted from around the world.
Six diverse productions tread the boards each evening at the Times Square Arts Centre, encompassing all genres of theatre."We wanted to make a difference." said Gene Fisch, Jr., Founder and Festival Director. "Our intent was to create a legitimate theatre festival that incorporated the Broadway community into an environment that truly supported talented writers at little cost for the participants. Each panelist donates their time to review these works and it is guidance such as this that makes us very proud to see that the Broadway community recognizes these efforts." The festival is presented in association with Bear in Mind Creative (Abby Judd and Melissa Gordon). "This is one of our most exciting projects" said Melissa.
"The work selected is truly wonderful and we believe there is an opportunity to see something special with this festival."
