Symphony Space Thalia Kids' Book Club launches 2017-18 season with events featuring Sherman Alexie and Cressida Cowell on Friday and Sunday, October 13 and 15. Tickets are $17 each ($14 for Symphony Space members and groups), available online now.
Symphony Space's highly interactive Thalia Kids' Book Club series, produced in cooperation with Bank Street Bookstore, unites avid readers with the authors, illustrators, and books that inspire their imaginations. Each event includes a creative writing project, a discussion with the audience, and a book-signing.The 2017-18 Thalia Kids' Book Club season launches with two exciting author events in October and a visit with Newbery Award-winning author Katherine Paterson in December. More events, including a Judy Blume birthday celebration, are planned for winter and spring 2018.

Join the winner of the National Book Award for Young People's Literature Sherman Alexie to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his iconic young adult novel. Ages 12+.

Cressida Cowell: The Wizards of Once
The author of the How To Train Your Dragon series presents her enchanting new novel, an exciting adventure filled with giants, witches, wizards, warriors, and the mysterious wildwoods. Cowell will be joined by author Claire Legrand (Foxheart) for an afternoon of conversation, art, fun activities, and a reading from The Wizards of Once. Tony Award nominee Emily Skeggs (Fun Home) will also read from the new book. Ages 8-12.
