Author Reflects on Struggles as Formative Tools Image Birdilyn Watson is releasing her first book, A Book of Thoughts Through the Years: Volume 1 ($12.49, paperback, 9781545633885; $5.99, e-book, 9781545633892). Though we meet struggles daily in our lives, we overcome them. Birdilyn has realized that in reflecting, we see the part these struggles play in forming us, strengthening us, and leading us to the conclusion that perhaps they were not so bad after all.

“The struggles that I met and overcame are not so extraordinarily different from the ones others will have, even though at the time they happen, they appear monumental and overwhelming, do not give up, steadfastly stay in prayer and seek the Lord,” said Watson.

Birdilyn Watson is a native of Jamaica, West Indies. She migrated to the United States in 1968. She earned her Master’s in Management and Counseling from Cambridge College and a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
