Following the "Walk on the Wildside: Benefit Dinner for Wildlife Warriors," Australia Plays Broadway will feature an onstage compilation showcase of Australian talent. Leading Australian producers, Wayne Harrison (Creative Director, City of Sydney) and Ross Mollison (Producer, Slava's Snowshow, Spiegeltent) have been commissioned to produce this unique evening that expresses the imagination and calibre of Australian culture through a collaboration of Australian talent.
"This spectacular evening will be created through vivid visuals and innovative design, complementing the diverse elements of the arts from cabaret to opera, and from symphony to rock. The performers will take the stage at the Rose Theater, Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, and a VIP Sydney after party will follow," explain press notes.
Confirmed artists include: Shannon Noll (2007 MTV Australia VMA Winner – Best Male Artist), Christine Anu, (Award winning singer, songwriter and actress) Eskimo Joe (rock band with a double-platinum album), Richard Walley (one of Australia's leading Aboriginal musicians and writers), Pei-Jee & Pei-San Ng (talented twin cellists), Raymond Crowe (Australia's only unusualist), Daniel Sumegi (internationally renowned bass baritone singer), Caroline O'Connor (singer, dancer and Broadway star), Pembroke Orchestra (one of the world's best orchestras), Rachelle Durkin (award winning soprano opera singer), David Campbell (award winning cabaret singer), Lisa Moore (classical pianist) and the Australian Dance Theater (contemporary dance company and winner of 21 industry awards).
