In honor of the Signature Theatre's new production of esteemed two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson's HOW I LEARNED WHAT I LEARNED, a crossword puzzle celebrating the man and his plays is now available to peruse.
Originally first released a few years back in commemoration of the August Wilson celebration at Signature Theatre - highlighted by the premiere of this very play, as a matter of fact - the crossword provides ample opportunities to test your Wilson wisdom and perhaps learn a few new things, too.
HOW I LEARNED WHAT I LEARNED is currently in previews, set for a November 24 opening and has just been extended through December 29. The official description is as follows: "his solo show, featuring Ruben Santiago-Hudson, shares August Wilson's personal stories about his encounters with racism, music, love, violence, and life-changing friendships as a young poet in Pittsburgh's Hill District. Directed by the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright's long-time collaborator Todd Kreidler, August Wilson's How I Learned What I Learned charts one man's journey of self-discovery and what it means to be a black artist in America. A New York Premiere from Signature's 2006-07 Playwright-in-Residence."
Additionally, check out an overview of Wilson's work and more about HOW I LEARNED WHAT I LEARNED in the next issue of Signature Stories Magazine, soon to be available here.
