This week, Olivier Award-winner Imelda Staunton and record-setting Tony Award winner Audra McDonald were honored by the Royal Academy of Music and University of London.
The two stage legends were named Honorary Members of the Royal Academy of Music.
In addition to these honors, West End artists Christine Allado (Hamilton), Bob Broad (Everybody's Talking About Jamie), Kate Marlais (Cameron Mackintosh resident composer), Laura Tebbutt (Fiddler on the Roof) and Alex Young (Follies) were made Associates of the Royal Academy of Music, awarded to alumni who have made notable contributions to the arts.
Stephen Ashfield (Book of Mormon) was also named a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music, an award for distinguished members of the academy's alumni.
