The first of four live audition sessions for the 2010 TAKE THE STAGE amateur talent competition will be Saturday, April 3rd, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Whole Backstage Theater in Guntersville. The competition is open to amateur performers of all kinds ages 8 and up from Alabama and surrounding states, and will be presented June 3-6.

Talent can be any type of amateur entertainment (singing, dancing, bands/ instrumental music, martial arts, comedy, dramatic performance, etc.) suitable for a family audience. Entry forms will also be available at the audition.

Up to sixty acts will be selected to compete in the preliminary rounds from all the audition entries submitted. The top ten scoring acts from the preliminary rounds will advance to the final round of competition, to vie for first, second and third place cash and prizes totaling at least $1,000.
