Concerts are on Wednesday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be moved indoors to the D.L. Parsons Theatre across the street at the Northglenn Recreation Center. 17th Annual FREE Teddy Bear Picnic

Don't miss this long-honored Northglenn tradition. Come listen to the fun stories and music of our favorite children's entertainer, Beth Epley. Pinocchio
Missoula Children's Theatre
Auditions for youth ages 6-18 are being held for the Missoula Children's Theatre's original musical adaptation of the classic fairy tale, "Pinocchio." Approximately 55 roles are available. In order to audition, you must be available to attend all rehearsals. No prepared materials are necessary. Please be prompt to the auditions, as we will turn away late-comers. The audition will last the full two hours.

Auditions begin promptly at 10 a.m. and will run a full two hours. Roles be will cast during the final minutes of the audition period.

Captain Bree, Scourge of the Sea
The award-winning Northglenn Youth Theatre
Auditions for youth ages 8-18 are being held for "Captain Bree, Scourge of the Sea," a tale of adventure on the high seas, lady pirates, and sword fights. Approximately 30 roles are available. A prepared one-minute comedic monologue, head-shot, and resume are needed to audition. Please schedule an appointment time by calling (303) 450-8800.

A musical rendition of the classic tale of a puppet's journey to become a real boy. Pinocchio and his pal Jiminy Cricket meet up with some shady characters out in the world and get into some tough situations, but in the end it's all good. Sponsored by SCFD, NAHF, and the City of Northglenn.

This swashbuckling comedy will shiver your timbers! Captain Jennings' crew jumps ship, leaving him with only a handful of prisoners and Fergus, a sailor who can't swim, to protect his wealthy passengers from a pirate attack. Captain Bree and her lady pirates demand gold in exchange for the lives of the pretentious Madam Prescot, her nephew Samuel, who is masquerading as a girl to avoid becoming shark bait, and her niece Julia, bursting with desire to join the lady pirates-much to her aunt's dismay! Songs about super heroes, everyday heroes, and what it takes to be a hero. Sue has entertained audiences across Colorado for many years, and has recorded five CD's. Wear your capes and get ready for a fun time!

Pre-school children's drawings are precious. Their simple images help them communicate. But why stop there? These classes give children the skills necessary to draw more complex images through a unique method that will maximize development and prepare pre-schoolers as learners.

Young Rembrandts Cartooning
Ages 6-12
The original Young Rembrandts cartoons lessons teach children how to:
•Create new cartoon characters

•Draw expressions and convey moods
•Develop a series of drawings to tell a joke
While cartooning is fun and engaging, children will gain mastery in a unique drawing style, and improve their core learning skills.

Our elementary-age curriculum is designed to teach basic to advanced drawing skills, art techniques, and vocabulary. In the same way you teach math, science and reading, we teach core drawing skills! Our program dispels the myth that art is a talent a child has or doesn't have.

Youth Drama Classes

From Page to Stage
Ages 6-8
Students will put their heads together as they take themes and characters from their favorite fairytales and twist them into a new magical story. This class combines team work and literacy with beginning acting and then culminates with a short presentation of the new piece for family and friends. Different authors/books will be used each session. (8 weeks)

Introduction to Acting

This is a great class for the want-to-be actor! Students will work on a series of scenes or skits that focus on movement and character development. Intermediate Acting

Prepare for launch! Take a wild ride into the world of rockets as you build and launch different kinds of spacecraft in the SpaceTime LIFT OFF Workshop. This workshop has a number of all-new elements for 2009 including exciting launch and landing visuals, crafting your own SpaceTime Galactic Gliders, traveling to Saturn in 3D, launching gas and air power rockets, and more!

"Music for Young Mozarts"... and beyond!
The search for totally fun, convenient, and most of all AFFORDABLE music lessons for your child is over! Keyboards for Kids has been training young musicians since 2003 and is taught by top-notch educators who have focused experience and passion for working with children. In this class, the keyboards are provided onsite and the participants learn the basics, opening the door to a life-long love of music. Group Guitar
Ages 6-12
This group class is a great way to de-mystify one of the cornerstone instruments in building a strong musical base. In this eight-week course areas covered include; proper posture and positioning, age-appropriate and kid friendly music theory and fret-board harmony, notation (how to read music), beginning and advanced chords, ear training (playing by ear), and rhythmic training using the natural percussive qualities of the guitar. This is a non-competitive and encouraging atmosphere to ensure confidence and success. Come on and give it a try. (8 weeks) Participants: bring your own appropriate sized guitar to class.

KITE - Kids' Interactive Theatre Experience Back by popular demand!
Ages 5-7
Join us for a great journey using our minds, bodies, some costumes, and props as we enjoy dramatic games and activities. Each day we'll travel to a new world that you create; medieval times, space, deserted island, zoo-whatever you come up with! Campers will put together a story, make the characters, and act out their adventures. (1 week)

Acting Up!

This youth production camp is for the natural-born actor. On day one of camp, the campers will choose a collection of skits to work on for the duration of camp. The camp will culminate in two public performances at the D.L. Parsons Theatre. (3 weeks)

Science Camps
Blast off with SpaceTime Science Camps for kids ages 6-12. SpaceTime is an interactive, totally hands-on adventure through the study of space and science. Each day is filled with new experiments and discoveries. So much fun, you forget you're learning! Wear comfortable clothes, bring along a snack, and get ready for an intergalactic heyday!

Mission to Mars
In this camp you get to see, feel, and hear what a mission to the Red Planet would be like with activities, experiments, and demonstrations. Operating your own flight console you will get to help pilot the Mars Explorer spacecraft from Earth to Mars and then help design and set up your very own Mars Base Station!

Alien Adventures
This camp takes you on an extra-terrestrial journey through the galaxy in search of life beyond Earth including a virtual robotic trip to a distant world where all kinds of amazing life forms reside. You will create your own alien world based on in-class activities and experiments that test the possibilities of what alien life could be like.

Rockin' Rockets
Our most popular camp EVER! Over the course of five days you will do just about everything there is to do with rockets short of riding one into space. While you're learning you will have SERIOUS COSMIC FUN building and launching two different kinds of rockets (that you get to keep), blasting off fleets of rockets simultaneously, feeling the thrill of a human gravity assist, experiencing the speed of rocket flight in 3D, and much more.
