Audition Dates Announced by Nashville Ballet For Nutcracker Youth Cast, 9/12 & 9/19

Some of the best things in life only come once a year! Nashville Ballet is pleased to announce the dates for our annual Nutcracker Youth Cast Auditions. This annual production is one of the three highest attended shows in Nashville, with an audience of over 15,000 people. If your child is eight years old, we invite them to be part of this magical holiday tradition.

Auditions will be held on Sunday, September 12th and Sunday, September 19th. Both auditions will be held at the Martin Center for Nashville Ballet, located at 3630 Redmon Street, Nashville, TN. 37209. Girls should wear proper dance class attire and boys should wear shorts and a T-shirt. All those auditioning should bring a full-body photograph. Boys *7 to 11 Register at 11:00 am - audition from 11:30 am -12:00 pm
Girls *7, 8 & 9 Register at 11:00 am - audition from 12:00 -1:00 pm
Girls 10 & 11 Register at 12:00 pm - audition from 1:00 - 2:00 pm
*All participants must be age 8 by December 31, 2010

Boys & Girls 12 & 13 - Must be School of Nashville Ballet students
Register at 1:00 pm - audition from 2:00 - 3:00 pm
Boys & Girls ages 14 and up - Must be School of Nashville Ballet students
Registration at 2:00 - audition from 3:00 - 4:00 pm

Nashville Ballet, a federally registered 501(c)(3) organization, is the largest professional ballet company in Tennessee and is celebrating its 25th Anniversary during the 2010/2011 season. Nashville Ballet presents a diverse repertoire of classical ballet and contemporary works by acclaimed choreographers, including original works by Artistic Director Paul Vasterling. Nashville Ballet and the affiliated Second Company NB2 (a pre-professional training company) serve over 70,000 adults and children annually through performances and community engagement initiatives. Our curriculum-based community engagement program brings dance education to elementary, middle, and high schools as well as community centers, public libraries, and colleges, covering a 15-county region throughout Middle Tennessee. Dance students, ages two and up, receive superior ballet instruction from a world class faculty at School of Nashville Ballet. Performances this season include Swan Lake, Nashville's Nutcracker, Postcards from the Boys, and Carmina Burana.
