A number of theatre-related events will comprise Audiences of Tomorrow, the series of on-site festival concerts that will be presented at the Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts in Huntington, Long Island from June 27th through August 12th. Performers from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and The Producers will be featured in the concerts, among others.

The Usdan, set in a beautiful woodland environment, is a premier summer arts day camp whose alumni include Natalie Portman, Lisa Gay Hamilton (Gem Of the Ocean), playwright Michele Lowe (String of Pearls), Jordan Leeds (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change) and singers Jane Monheit and Mariah Carey; it was named by Time Magazine as one of the most unique camps in America.

Festival concerts, given every day at noon at the Center's 1,000-seat McKinley Ampitheater, feature world-famous artists of music, dance and theater. Among this year's theater attractions are Voices From Broadway, in which singers from the casts of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Producers, Beauty and the Beast and Wicked will perform on July 12th, and Dances From Broadway, with dancers from The Producers taking the stage on July 14th. Joanne Borts (The Golden Land, On Second Avenue, Fiddler on the Roof with Topol and the recent Cinderella with Eartha Kitt) will host the 2005 Yiddish Theater Festival with guest artists on June 30th, as well.

Usdan Center, America's largest summer arts day camp, has introduced the visual and performing arts to more than 40,000 young people ages 6 to 18. Students come from throughout the Tri-State area, transported to the Center by over 120 Usdan Center buses five days a week. No auditions are needed, just an interest in the arts. Students can choose from a wealth of subjects in music, dance, theater, visual arts, nature and ecology studies and chess, taught by renowned teacher/artists, and there are also recreational facilities, such as Olympic-sized pools, and tennis and basketball courts. The Usdan Center is located at 185 Springs Road. There are still openings for the June 27-August 12 season, and information is available by calling (631) 643-7900, or (212) 772-6060, or visiting www.usdan.com.

Celebrity performances are presented for the first few weeks of the season, and then student classes perform onstage during the second half. A complete schedule is also available at the Usdan's website.
