The Auction of 1000 Stars 2005, a two-week, online auction presented by The Actors' Fund of America in partnership with Yahoo!, will offer theatre lovers the chance to bid on Broadway memorabilia and shows, celebrity meetings and much more.
The Auction of 1000 Stars 2005 will kick off on July 18th, with all proceeds benefitting The Actors' Fund, a 123
year-old human service organization that offers a variety of crucial
programs and support to entertainment professionals in need. The auction will come to a close on August 1st.The once-in-a-lifetime experiences and memorabilia up for auction include (to date): a day on the set of CBS's "CSI: Crime
Scene Investigation," FOXs "Arrested Development," ABCs "One Life to Live"
or MTV's "Total Request Live," a private Shakespearean acting class with the legendary Lynn
Redgrave, a private voice lesson with singing sensation Josh Groban,
tickets to the The Grammy Awards, VIP day with
the Mets at Shea Stadium, walk-on roles in Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera, Rentand Mamma Mia!, a Gibson guitar signed by
Johnny Depp, a Michael Reagan
autobiography signed by former President Ronald Reagan, tickets to
Broadway openings, a 2006 Saab 9-7X Linear SUV with Factory Equipped
On-Star, and more than 150 Playbills signed by stars of stage and screen. In fact, hundreds of autographed memorabilia will be up for bids.
