Attention Ozians! The Broadway blockbuster Wicked will add a digital lottery to its current ticket offerings beginning next Tuesday, March 8, it was announced today.
A limited number of tickets will be available through the digital lottery which will open at 8:30am for matinee and evening performances and will remain open until 10:30am and 2pm, respectively, when winners are drawn. Tickets are $35 each, including the facility fee. Winners will be notified by email shortly after each drawing and will have 60 minutes to pay for their tickets with a credit card online. Tickets can be picked up at the Gershwin Theatre box office (222 West 51st Street) 30 minutes prior to show time. WICKED's in-person lottery will remain and take place two hours before each performance. All former rules apply, with tickets for $30 each including the facility fee.

The musical currently stars Rachel Tucker as Elphaba, Carrie St. Louis as Glinda, Judy Kaye as Madame Morrible, Peter Scolari as The Wizard, Jonah Platt as Fiyero, Dawn E. Cantwell as Nessarose, Michael Genet as Dr. Dillamond, and Zachary Noah Piser as Boq.
Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello with musical staging by Wayne Cilento. Wicked is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.
