Atlantic Theater Company has announced that the American premiere of THE NIGHT ALIVE has been extended an additional week. Written and directed by Olivier Award winner and Tony Award® nominee Conor McPherson, this critically hailed Donmar Warehouse production will now play through Sunday, February 2, 2014 Off-Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company at the Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street).

THE NIGHT ALIVE features the original cast direct from the Donmar's sold-out, world premiere run: Caoilfhionn Dunne, Brian Gleeson,Ciarán Hinds, Michael McElhatton and Tony Award® winner Jim Norton.

THE NIGHT ALIVE began previews November 30 and opened to acclaim at the Linda Gross Theater on December 12, 2013.

Tommy's not a bad man. He's getting by - renting a run-down room in his Uncle Maurice's house, just about keeping his ex-wife and kids at arm's length, and rolling from one get-rich-quick scheme to the next with his pal Doc. Then one day he comes to the aid of Aimee, who's not had it easy herself, struggling through life the only way she knows how. Their pasts won't let go easily. But together there's a glimmer of hope they could make something more of their lives. Something extraordinary. Perhaps.

THE NIGHT ALIVE marks Conor McPherson's return to Atlantic, where his plays Port Authority and Dublin Carol previously received award-winning premiere productions. The acclaimed Broadway production of his play The Seafarer received four Tony Award® nominations, including Best Play. He was recently represented Off-Broadway with the celebrated, extended engagement of The Weir at the Irish Repertory Theatre Company.

The production is designed by Soutra Gilmour, with lighting design by Neil Austin and sound design by Gregory Clarke.
