In a presentation titled, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog," Michael Riedel talks about his publications (1997-2009) on the occasion of his new release Meckert (Koenig Books). Using numerous pictures and sound recordings, the latter in the form of transcribed texts, Meckert continues the artist's series of publications (Scheißen und Brunzen, 2000; Oskar, 2003; Johnson - Robert, 2004; Tirala, 2006; Gedruckte und nicht gedruckte Poster, 2008; amongst others), which are published as independent works parallel to his exhibitions. Catherine, Tuesday, Fiontan, and Mieke are four new texts that were recorded during his exhibitions in Cork, New York, London, and Basel, respectively. The dialogues come from phone calls, in which the current situation at each exhibition is described.

"[German]-based artist Michael Riedel has been confusing audiences for years now, drawing them into a world of echoes, afterimages, and replicas in which nothing is straightforward." - Artforum
