Chicago, IL -- The Art Institute of Chicago and Douglas Druick, President and Eloise W. Martin Director, invite you to celebrate the exhibition opening of MAKING PLACE: THE ARCHITECTURE OF DAVID ADJAYE -- with the artist -- at an exclusive event on Friday, September 18, that benefits the museum's Leadership Advisory Committee.
This unique evening provides the opportunity to preview the first major career survey of internationally acclaimed architect David Adjaye. The Art Institute of Chicago is the only North American venue for this pioneering show, which precedes the highly anticipated opening of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), designed by Adjaye Associates, in Washington, DC.
Join David Adjaye, cultural and civic leaders, and other renowned contemporary artists from around the world for an extraordinary evening of art and design, hosted by the Leadership Advisory Committee. Opening Celebration guests will enjoy an elegant dinner in the Modern Wing's stunning Griffin Court followed by an unforgettable, nonstop party driven well into the night by the world-famous DJ Kiss.
