Artcore presents DIANE GIFFORD AND FRIENDS, March 29, 2014 • 7:30 p.m. at the Kelly Walsh High School Auditorium.

Diane grew up in Southern California, where she studied piano at Cal Poly Pomona. She lived for several years in Detroit, where she performed at Lee Ioccoca's Renaissance Club. Since moving to Casper in 2001, Diane has played violin in the Wyoming Symphony, and has worked with Casper College Theatre Department in a variety of capacities, including composing, arranging, writing and performing the score for Bertold Brecht's Galileo in 2008. She has performed with the Casper City Band, and has written musicals for the Casper Children's Theatre. A highlight of her stage career was an award-winning performance as Truvy in Stage III's Steel Magnolias. She is a frequent ARTCORE guest performer, and has appeared with Inda Eaton. Most recently, Diane has joined Dodi Eskew at Rising Star co-teaching a Musical Theatre class for ages 7 through 17.

Diane is an ever growing and changing artist; her latest pursuit is the study of guitar. Diane is thrilled with the opportunity to share her new found skills with her local musician friends in this ARTCORE event. Somehow Diane squeezed in time to expand her musical abilities while juggling her full-time position of mother of four: Alan, 23 Drummer for The Black Dahlia Murder Band, William 21, stationed in Germany and newly married to a beautiful German, Aline, Max, 13, an athlete and musician and new teenager, Zoe, 8, a dancer at Rising Star and Faerie Princess. Diane lives in Casper with Mark Gifford, the love of her life.

Co-Sponsored by the Casper Journal.
