Art House Productions (AHP) and Leah E. Jackson are proud to present the NJ premiere of SHEnanigans, the latest solo-show creation from AUDELCO award-winning performer, Helena D. Lewis. This Mother's Day weekend event will be held on Saturday, May 13th, 8:00 pm and Sunday, May 14th (Mother's Day), 3:00 pm at the West Side Theatre, 285 West Side Ave. Jersey City, NJ 07305, adjacent to the West Side Light Rail Station. Advance ticketing for General Admission is $20 and $25 at the door and $15 for Students/Seniors. There is a Mother's Day special of 2 tickets for $36. After her mother's unexpected death, a devoted daughter struggles to adjust to her newfound matriarchal duties. An intimate, dramatic, and humorous look at love and life from a menopause baby who embraces her inherent dysfunction to care for her eccentric 82-year-old father and Smokey, the affable family pet.
Helena D. Lewis is an award-winning actress, poet, and playwright. Her one-person show, Call Me Crazy: Diary of A Mad Social Worker, chronicles her work in the social service field portraying twenty-five characters from pimps to menopausal women. Call Me Crazy has had over fifteen sold-out performances and was profiled on the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) SocialWorkersSpeak website and Rutgers Alumni Magazine.
