Ars Nova presents, as part of the Out Loud series, a FREE reading of: THIS IS MY OFFICE by Andy Bragen, directed by Hal Brooks. The one-man play will be read by Greg Keller.
THIS IS MY OFFICE"When I found out I was chosen, I was over the moon." Offered a nine month artist residency in an abandoned office space near Wall Street, Andy Bragen starts his year with bright hopes and big plans. But Andy soon finds himself succumbing to doughnuts, lethargy and a paralyzing sense of deja vu. A humorous, genre-bending exploration of fear, art, gluttony and a legacy of failure.
Andy Bragen's honors include a Workspace Residency with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, the Clubbed Thumb Biennial Commission, a Tennessee Williams Fellowship from Sewanee: The University of The South, a Jerome Fellowship, a New Voices Fellowship from EST, a Dramatists Guild Fellowship, and residencies at Millay Colony and Blue Mountain Center. His plays and translations have been seen and heard at numerous theatres across the country, including The Guthrie, The Goodman, PS122, The Playwrights Center, Queens Theatre in the Park, Rattlestick, EST, Brown/Trinity Playwrights Rep, Repertorio Español, the University of Rochester, Soho Rep and the Lark.
