The University of South Florida's Ars Nostra ensemble performs vocal and instrumental works by Max Lifchitz at New York City's Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center on Tuesday, May 15 at 8 PM. For ticket purchases and availability, contact the box office at (212) 501-3330.
The concert will feature the recently completed Piano Silhouettes, Rhythmic Soundscape No. 6 & Three Concerted Madrigals. It will also include older works such as the Three Songs for Voice and Trumpet, Canto de Paz, Yellow Ribbons Nos. 43 & 44 as well as the ever-popular Latin American Mosaic.
Ars Nostra members performing Tuesday evening include soprano Kyoung Cho; flutist Kim McCormick; clarinetist Calvin Falwell; trumpeter Jay Coble; percussionist Robert McCormick; and pianist Sang-Hie Lee.
The event is possible with the assistance of a Creative Scholarship grant from the University of South Florida.
