Gibney Dance is pleased to announce that the application for the 2018-19 Dance in Process (DiP) residency program is now open! Thanks to generous support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, DiP provides immersive choreographic residencies for mid-career, New York City-based dance makers.
Resident Artists receive: three weeks of exclusive, continuous access to a studio at Gibney; a $7,500 stipend and $2,000 allowance for artistic consultants; 40 additional hours of discounted studio space; and administrative support from Gibney staff.
Resident Artists will also be invited to submit a second application to turn one of their three residency weeks into a Production Residency in one of Gibney's theater spaces, including access to production equipment and technical assistance.
