Applications are available for Camp Broadway's popular programs in New York. This year, the programs will run from July 16-20 and July 30-August 3.

Camp Broadway, according to Artistic Director, Tony Parise, "is the 'Real Deal' for Theatre loving kids where enthusiasm is the only requirement. We give kids access to the world of Broadway in an ensemble based program where they can learn important life lessons that they will carry with them always. The only competition at Camp Broadway is for campers to be the best they can be in a safe environment where kids can explore their creativity."

Camp Broadway – "gives young people an introduction to the real world of Broadway, exposing them to on stage technique as well as behind the scenes regimens. The program has been created and perfected by a Broadway team and offers each participant the opportunity to expand his or her creative talents, build self-esteem, learn the art of collaboration and gain a fuller respect and understanding of theatre in general," state press materials.

Shining Stars: ages 6-9, is an interactive program which includes five half-days of classes in singing and dancing as well as workshops in mask making, storytelling, make-up, set, costume design and a final musical presentation for family and friends.

Camp Broadway: ages 10- 12, in its 12th year, the program continues to give theatre loving kids an outlet for creativity.  This unique program fosters teamwork, discipline, commitment, and support while introducing kids to the world of Broadway. Guest artists from Broadway conduct master classes in varying areas.

CB2: ages 13-17 is a teen program designed to experience the world of Broadway showmanship with a more intensive experience tailored specifically for them.  CB2 programs include training in voice, dance, movement, solo and ensemble singing while rehearsing dialogue, musical numbers and dance routines for a featured Broadway musical each week.  Guest artists from Broadway conduct master classes in many areas. The week culminates with the Camp Broadway Family Finale, where campers showcase the skills they have honed.

Next Step: ages 14 -18 is a comprehensive one-on-one training with Broadway teaching professionals, while learning the business of "show business" through seminars with invited guests. For teens who may be interested in a possible career in the theatre, this is the next step towards making their Broadway dreams come true.

Camp Broadway began as a performing arts program founded in 1996. Recipient of the 2002 Standing Ovation Award from the Educational Theatre Association, it's a theatre arts education and audience development company dedicated to helping students and families experience theatre in creative and meaningful ways. The programs are designed to serve the needs of both the education and theatre industry by connecting professional artists with young audiences.
