Applications Now Being Accepted for the Broadway For All Summer Conservatory

Broadway For All, a NYC not-for-profit that offers tuition-free training in the performing arts to promising middle and high school students, is accepting applications for its summer conservatory program through Sunday, April 19. The summer conservatory will run in a convenient Midtown location on weekdays from June 29 to August 5 from 9:45 AM - 4:00 PM.

Students can apply through http://bit.ly/1EAL3dn. Applications close at 5 PM EST on Sunday, April 19. Callbacks will be held in NYC on Saturday, April 25, and final decisions will be made on Friday, May 1.

New York City and Greater New York City Area students who will be entering 6th-12th grade in the fall of 2015 are eligible to apply for one of three divisions: Drama (Stage and On-Camera Acting), Musical Theatre, and Dramatic Writing (Playwriting, Screenwriting, Sketch Comedy). Out-of-state students are eligible to apply as well. The Broadway For All Summer Conservatory is free for everyone. Accepted participants must be enrolled in 6th-12th grade this fall. Each high school participant will practice public service by mentoring a middle school participant.

Broadway For All Success & SupportStudents' work culminates in a final showcase held in an Equity theater, and 70% of BFA students sign to talent agencies immediately following the performance. BFA alums have seen tremendous success following their time in the conservatory. Three BFA students are making their Broadway and touring debuts this season in The King and I, Matilda, and Finding Neverland (starring Matthew Morrison and Kelsey Grammer), and one just filmed the pilot episode of Showtime's Billions, starring Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti.

Faculty members include Patrick Vassel (Hamilton), Dustyn Gulledge (HBO's Silicon Valley; Lucky Guy starring Tom Hanks), Courtney Reed (Aladdin), Geoff Packard (Matilda, Wicked, Phantom), Chelsea Packard (Wicked, Hands on a Hardbody), Veronica Kuehn (Clinton: The Musical, Avenue Q), Kristolyn Lloyd (Heathers: The Musical), Corey Mach (Godspell), Jeffrey Pew (First Wives Club, Cinderella), Joyce Chittick (Anything Goes), and several more. Supporters include Tony Award-winning producers Fred Zollo (Once, A Steady Rain, Angels in America), Anita Waxman (Doctor Zhivago, Rocky, Holler If Ya Hear Me), Hugh Hayes (The Visit, Pippin), and Ryan Chang (Living on Love).
