Applegate Reveals She Has Won Her Recent Battle with Cancer

Christina Applegate announced that she has been given a clean bill of health regarding her recent cancer scare, her test came back as she stated on the morning program, "Absolutely 100% cancer free". The announcement was made this morning during a taping of ABC's Good Morning America, in a segment that will air tomorrow, Tuesday, August 19th.

Applegate recently earned a Golden Globe and Emmy nomination for her performance on the television series "Samantha, Who?" where she portrays a woman who wakes from a week long coma to find she remembers nothing about her life. She also has earned an Emmy for her portrayal of Jennifer Aniston's sister on the series "Friends", but is perhaps best known for her first major role as Kelly Bundy in the series "Married With Children." 

Applegate made her Broadway debut in the hit musical Sweet Charity. She received a Tony Nomination for playing the title role of Charity Hope Valentine, the optimist but unlucky-in-love New Yorker. Applegate was able to prove that she could not only act but sing and dance as well. She opened the show at the Al Hirschfield after recently recovering from a broken foot from the out of town tryout to critical acclaim.
