This week, on March 28th, the Any Wednesday series will feature the masculine side of the cabaret world with three gentlemen who delve into the great American songbook in their own particular style.
"All have been getting a great deal of attention in their engagements around town at the much missed Danny's, the Laurie Beechman and Helen's. Each has an album that shows off their style, but this is a chance to meet them live: Russell Brauer ("My First CD at Last"), Richard Holbrook("Richard Holbrook Steps Out" - Holbrook is returning to Helen's on April 1 and 4) and Jasper Kump ("Sunday in New York" and the upcoming "Starfish and Coffee")," state press materials.
Any Wednesday celebrates the best in jazz, cabaret and theater performers in the spacious third floor events space at the Lincoln Square Barnes & Noble at 66th and Broadway in New York City. Each performance begins at 6:00 p.m., lasts approximately a half hour and is followed by a signing/meet-and-greet session with the artists. As always, the events remain free and open to all.
Upcoming performers include: Tom Jones and the cast of The Fantasticks (April 11), Mary Foster Conklin (April 18), Terese Genecco with Barry Lloyd (April 25), Steven Brinberg with guests Karen Mason and Hugh Panaro (May 9), Louise Rogers (May 16), Jessica Molaskey with John Pizzarelli (May 23), and Maude Maggart (May 30).
