The Children's Acting Academy and Company presents the anti-bullying musical, BULLY NO MORE!, performing at the Workshop Theater, 312 West 36 Street, NYC, on January 12 at 7:30 PM, Saturday, January 13 at 3:00 PM and 7:30 PM, and Sunday, January 14 at 3:00 PM.
A charming musical allegory, BULLY NO MORE! explores the repercussions of bullying and celebrates the power of individuals to band together and stand up for what is right. With colorful animal characters and lively songs, the show empowers and inspires its audience to look out for one another, treat each other with kindness and respect, and "Hold Onto Hope" in an imperfect world.
"From the moment I read BULLY NO MORE! I knew it was a show we had to do.", said Mimi Stuart, Artistic Director of the Children's Acting Academy and Company, (www.childrensactingacademy.com). "We recently produced the world premiere of OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE, (https://www.facebook.com/OUTOFMYCOMFORTZONEnewrockmusical), a rock musical that deals with teen gay bullying and LGBTQ awareness in schools. It is currently in post-production as an independent feature film. We've done other socially relevant shows, about Columbine and the Holocaust, but never a musical for our younger group about an important, current topic. We're not just putting on a play. We are taking the time in rehearsals to understand the implications of what the characters do, and discuss how it impacts others."
