Indie filmmakers Josh Badham and Brian Rider screen their latest short film, "The Buttercup Project," at the Anthology Film Archives theatre in New York City (32 Second Avenue @ 2nd Street) on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010 at 7:15pm. Admission is $6.
In the 3 minute shot film "The Buttercup Project," written by Brian Rider and produced and directed by Josh Badham and Brian Rider, three men with a briefcase find themselves in a sticky situation. The film stars Gabe Tellez as Man with Briefcase, Antoine Richardson as Man in Suit, and Brian Rider as Driver.Also being screened that night will be Giovanni Salis' I BAMBINI CHIUDONO GLI OCCHI, Chris Dawson's REVERIE, and the feature presentation-Brian Ackley's UPTOWN.Anthology Film Archives evolved from roots and visions that go back to the early Sixties, when Jonas Mekas, the director of the Film-Makers' Cinematheque, a showcase for avant-garde films, dreamed of establishing a permanent home where the growing number of new independent/avant-garde films could be shown on a regular basis.
